

William Carroll Dickerson passed away November 19, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. He was born January 1, 1927 in Milam County Texas to Charles Madison Dickerson and Willie Mae Williams Dickerson. He grew up in the Friendship Community, attended school there, and then graduated from Granger High. After the Navy he returned to Granger where he met Doris Jean Tucker; they married August 30, 1948 and set up home in the Granger community where he farmed and ranched the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest brother, two sisters, his son and infant grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of Granger, daughter Deborah Dry and husband Darrel of Granger, daughter-in-law Kimberly Dickerson of Granger, grandson Keith Kaderka and wife Shelley of Georgetown, granddaughter Amy Quebe and husband Joey and great granddaughter Cameron Quebe of Taylor and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation was Monday, November 21, 2011, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Condra Funeral Home.
Chapel services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:00 am at Condra Funeral Home. Burial services will immediately follow at Granger City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in William’s name can be made to First Baptist Church of Granger or to the American Cancer Society.
