Wilma Jean Hatfield

Wilma Jean Perkey Palazzola Hatfield, age 88, of Morristown, TN., formerly of Lone Mtn., TN, was born Jan. 27, 1926 and passed away June 19, 2014 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith and had worked in Oak Ridge on the Manhattan Project. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked with her husband, Bob, in his business. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamilton Sherman and Dora Pearl Perkey; husbands, Roy Palazzola and Robert Hatfield; grandson, Scott Epperson; brothers, Kyle, Kenneth, Sidney and Charles Tipton “Dooger” Perkey; sister, Georgia Hurst; special niece, Elaine Perkey and great niece, Leslie Perkey.

She is survived by her:

Daughter: Anita (James “Pete”) Epperson of Washburn, Tn.

Son: Jim (Brenda) Palazzola of Morristown, Tn.

Grandchildren: Tony Epperson, Jared Palazzola and Jade Gallimore

Great Grandchildren: Joshua, Chelsea, Ashley and Anthony Epperson

Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6-8PM Sat., June 21, 2014, at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell with funeral service at 8:00PM with Rev. Keith Young officiating and Jade Gallimore, eulogy. Singer: Evelyn McNamara. Graveside service will be held at 10:00AM Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tony Epperson, Josh Epperson, John Gallimore, Glenn Mullins, Jerry Hurst, Gavin Day Johnny Myers and Jared Palazzola.
