The granddaughter of Eastern European immigrants their values and resilience helped shape her strong, determined spirit. Her father Zort would often proclaim that he was “strong like bull,” a phrase that lived on in Betty herself, who carried that same toughness and determination throughout her life. In 1970, she and her husband, John B. Pannozzo, moved from Ohio to Florida, where they built a life centered on family, faith, and community.
Betty was a devoted and longtime parishioner of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Temple Terrace, where she was deeply involved in the prayer community. Her faith was her guiding light, and she found great joy and purpose in fellowship and service to others.

She is lovingly survived by her two children, Liza Pannozzo (Jeff Logan) and John C. Pannozzo (Christine Pannozzo); her grandchildren, Nathan Logan, Tom Pannozzo (Kristin Pannozzo), Jazmin Montgomery (Joseph Montgomery), Natalie Pannozzo and her sister Betsy Chockey Henry.
