Bud grew up in Seminole Heights, where he graduated from Hillsborough High School class of 1956, and met the love of his life, Patricia "Patty” Browning. Patty and Bud married in 1958 at Seminole Heights Methodist and eventually settled in Temple Terrace to raise their family. They were active members of Temple Terrace United Methodist Church.
Bud worked in many professions to include food sales and brokerage, operating a plant nursery with Patty, owner operator of a cookie shop, and his most favorable career was at UPS.
Bud’s life was incredibly diverse, he was a fencer, a Navy Veteran, was a proud Mason, served as a volunteer at the Shriners Hospital, learned small engine repair at Tampa Bay Tech, enjoyed sailing his Sunfish sailboat, completed a marathon, hiked the Grand Canyon, and an always enjoyed fishing Anclote Key and Aripeka FL.
Goal oriented, Bud always ensured that his children would complete higher education. He certainly completed this goal. His daughter Amy is a Social Worker and Nurse, his son Kenneth a Marine Officer and Program Manager. Both earned advanced degrees making Bud very proud. He always wanted better for his children and certainly accomplished this with Patty’s support.
Bud’s greatest loves remained his family and his wife who he is undoubtedly reunited with.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Arrington (John); son, Ken Maney (Missie); grandchildren, Clara and Ethan Arrington and Paxton and Cooper Maney; and great-grandchildren, Decklyn and Jonah Arrington and Holden Maney.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday March 15th, 2025 at 11:00 am at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Terrace Oaks Chapel, located at 12690 N. 56th St Temple Terrace 33617.
