

(b. January 2, 1928) passed away on March 30, 2016. The Hon. Gordon Julian Myatt, Sr. (Ret.) was married to Evelyne Eve Hutchings Myatt over 65 years. They had three sons: Gordon (Jay) Julian Myatt, Jr. (m. Benita), Kevin Andrew Myatt (m. Gail), and Craig Allen Myatt, Sr. (m. Christine). Gordon served as an Administrative Law Judge for both the Department of Labor and the National Labor Relations Board. Alongside his wife, he was also an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., The Church by The Side of the Road in Berkeley, California, and Brookhollow Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. In Tampa, Gordon was an active member of Bible-Based Fellowship Church. He was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, and the National Conference of Black Lawyers. Gordon’s legacy continues through his three sons, three daughters-in-law; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two surviving siblings; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Friday, Apr. 8th at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel. There will be a celebration of Gordon’s life, Saturday, Apr. 9th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Bible-Based Fellowship Church, 4811 Ehrlich Road. He will be laid to rest at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Tampa, Florida.Lawyers.
