ROGERS, Lance Earl, age 49, passed away on June 13, 2015 in Tampa. He was born in Newark, NJ to Earl and Cheryl (Sellers) Rogers. He was married to Charles Allen, who survives. After attending Rutgers University, Lance had a wonderful Dance career, performing years with Disney, across the country and world, and even came in second place with his friends in Ed McMahon’s 1993 Star Search show. Success not only came with dancing, but modeling as a Lifestyle model in numerous Print ads, and TV commercials. Lance always lived by the quote, “Always follow your dreams” and over the past years worked his own business of Romance and Elegance Wedding & Event Planning, along with teaching dance at Leonard’s Academy of Dance, Firethorn Dance Academy, and Rizing Starz Dance Academy in Tampa. Lance is survived by his husband, Charles Allen, mother, Cheryl Rogers, sister, Tonia Rogers, a nephew, E’lan Rogers and many friends. Visitation for Lance will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday June 18, 2015 11:00 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, Terrace Oaks Chapel.
