

Marion Delilah (Rushing) Leonard, 71, went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2016. Marion was born in Jackson, TN on September 8, 1944. She graduated from Southside High School in Jackson, TN. She moved to Ypsilanti, MI after high school to attend college where she met and married her husband, Robin Brian Leonard on November 19, 1965. Her whole life was centered on God, others health and happiness, and putting family first. She was an active member of the church of Christ all of her adult life. She loved her church in Waynesboro. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, James Jefferson and Verlie Sue Rushing, her son, Brian Keith Leonard, siblings Randall, Raymond, Eudell, and Linda Rushing. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Robin Brian Leonard, Waynesboro, VA, daughter Deborah Ann, son-in-law Christopher Neal Woodson and granddaughter Caroline Mae Woodson, who was the light of her life, beloved sisters Norma Jo Eyrolet and Frances Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. Marion was a servant at heart. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and her legacy of living a Christian life will live on in the hearts of the many lives she touched. There will be Memorial Services in Tampa, Florida and Waynesboro, Virginia to celebrate Marion’s Life: March 5th, 11a.m., meal to follow, North Tampa church of Christ, 3611 E. County Line Road, Lutz, FL, 33559; Burial on March 7th, 11 a.m., Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW102nd Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513 where her husband will rest with her in the future; March 19th, 11a.m., meal to follow, Waynesboro church of Christ, 227 Bookerdale Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
