Remember When…
We all have Nick memories - some during his early years and learning that dairy wasn’t a good thing for him to have (silent but deadly is all I have to say)  - some will remember his school years and the endless times of getting him to do his assignments or projects for school. Many will remember him for his later years with his adventurous side, his youthfulness and childlike behavior, playing video games, watching movies and of course those beautiful dimples and huge smile. 
Some will ‘Remember when’ he had to make some real life decisions like going to college, getting married, having a baby and joining the Army. 
But I’m thinking that most of you will remember Nick for putting his family first, being a bright light when entering a room and a genuine spirit that kept us whole with healthy competition and his rib splitting laughter. 
These ‘Remember When’  moments will keep repeating over and over like a broken record for me.
Some days will be easier than others and we will all  have these ‘Remember When’ moments, now that he’s gone.  
I’d like to say when you do remember Nick - lean in and let yourself feel that moment, whatever the memory is, something that brings you joy and laughter. 
And know there is someone else who will probably be doing the same. 
I’m hoping you will never forget him and keep Nick close to your heart and always keep ‘Remembering when ….’

Forever Nick’s  MOMMA 

Nick and I were close friends in high school. We saw each other around school but hadn’t talked until one day I saw he played Destiny (a video game popular on Xbox) when he posted it on his Instagram. I reached out and we started messaging each other often ever since and spent many hours playing games together. We would hang out in the halls after school and talk about lots of things but mainly anime haha. We would mess around with each other a lot but we supported each other constantly. After high school, talking to each other slowed down but we would talk on and off throughout the years. Two months ago, he dad-joked me and told me he believed in me and my dreams after we had caught up. He was and will remain a very inspiring, kind individual. He brought so much joy into my life and I appreciate all the times I had with him. He will always be in my heart and I know he is safe in the beyond. I’m sending love to all affected by the loss of Nicholas and to Nicholas himself. If anyone wants to talk or needs anything, I’m always here to help any friend of Nick.

I remember having your little family over for Thanksgiving last year and us all having a wonderful time that day.
I will also never forget when Kaleo, Nick, Lilly and my family went to the mall and Nick and I was dancing and goofing around at Old Navy and embarrassed our spouses. 
Even tho that was the only memories I have of Nick, I can say that I am glad I got to meet him. He was such a goofy person and he was just really fun to be around. 
Rest easy.

     Everything that's held importance to my life has had Nick's touch on it. He has helped me with and through so many things that it is hard to keep track of it all; and it was always with such a genuine sincerity that he also gave to all of the people he knew. I've never seen someone who would drop everything to help people they'd only just met with just about anything.

     From when I met him, working on a story together with a mutual friend of ours, to playing games like Apex or Smash and working on projects such as his game together throughout the years- he was always involved in the things I enjoyed the most. Truly, he was always part of the circle I considered my family; an honest part of us that can never be replaced or forgotten.

    Nick was a pillar of inspiration for people, he was always full of drive and ambition and that bled into me every time he talked about his passions. It was an addictive mindset that will push me for the rest of my life; something that has and will continue to help me find my way.

     Thank you, Nick. For everything you've done for us.

I will never forget the first night I met Nick. Loud, cracking a dad joke every five minutes, and by far one of the kindest people I’ve met. We hit it off immediately. He would always join me in karaoke, no matter the song if it was something sad, something angry, or something silly. “Suavamente” was a joke between all of us but it also held tender memories, like when Nick felt Lily’s feet kicking the moment he belted out “SUAVAMEEEENTEEEE BESAMEEEE!” He will always be missed whenever I listen to my music.

It was a pleasure knowing Alomar for the short time that I did. I remember in Korea he would come in the barracks just singing and dancing, always with a big smile on his face. He would sing everywhere; in the motor pool or playing cards or pool in the dayroom. He would always greet me and ask how my day was going. He had such a bright light and energy about him. Truly is a very big loss. Prayers to all the families affected. 

When I first met Alomar in South Korea, we spent the first 16 days together in the snow with a generator that would frequently shut off and leave us to freeze. During that time, Alomar spoke about his most prized possessions and those that he missed the most while in Korea. We would discuss how we would become Officers within the Army for hours and both wanted to see each other succeed. I will never forget his ability to impress people and make those around him comfortable almost instantly. 

I remember Nick from Frank and Ashley's wedding celebration. He was singing and dancing with his brothers and dad to  "YMCA". His smile was oh so big and he even had his younger brother, Aden, on his shoulders. Joy and laughter shined through him. My heart and prayers are ever so deep. Alomar was a student in my AIT class. He always had a positive attitude and would tell me about his family and how much he loved them. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. 

You will be missed dearly.

Nicki my loving nephew God knows i miss you so much. I love the way we called each other on our birthdays since we was a day apart.  I have so much to be proud of you for being a loving husband,father,and man. you gave us all that smile you have that will brighten up a room. Nick you was the nephew that no matter how sad or bad of a day we have your smile made everything in life seem better and not to be sad. Everyday i still can hear you say 
                       "che che milk cold"

I knew Nick from basic training, he was one of the hardest workers we had, always willing to go the extra mile. When we were moved to our holdover company we had bunks right next to one another. The life advise he gave me, and the jokes we shared I will forever remember. He was really a great guy, and will be truly missed by all. 

Thank you.. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to meet someone as amazing as Nick was.. He was like an older brother I never had..  Everything, from his smile to the way he talked always had this warmth behind it.. I'll never forget the times that we used to spend talking and playing games with all of our friends online.. Sometimes it would be for hours at a time just laughing and having a good time..  It would make my nights so much better just to talk to him.. The amount ambition and creativity he had was something I admired so much.. We shared so many ideas together.. I'll never forget the first time I met Lili and held her in my arms.. He just looked so proud to be a father.. Looked so proud to have such a  beautiful family.. His light will continue to burn bright in our hearts as we remember him..  And I can only hope that he is happy or at peace now.. We'll always be missing you Nick.. Always..

Nick & I have been around each other from sandbox days but our sandboxes were literal and we collected rocks and made forts to play in and hide when I didn’t want to go home. His smile brightened up a room and his heart was full of love. I love my godbrother and wouldn’t change him for anyone else I will continue to collect our rocks and build forts that I know I’ll be safe in.  I love you 

Nicholas, man how my heart hurts at the loss of you, from you were little you always brightened up a room with your amazing personality and energy, you will forever be missed and loved and I will make sure your memory lives on and that your cousins know exactly the kind of man you were and the way you touched the world, I love you nephew and I'll always keep you in my heart.  

Nicki was my grandson and one of the best people I know.  His grandma Margie and I loved him so much.  Words can’t describe the void we feel, but heaven just got another angel.  He was so loving, kind and a beautiful soul.  Nicki you will be greatly missed.  Gone but never forgotten.

Nicholas, you were such an amazing guy. You are very missed by your cousins. 

Even though I only got to know Nick for a short time I don’t think there was a single moment he didn’t make me laugh. The night Sean and I had dinner with his family was one of the most fun nights I have had in a while. Playing all the Mario games and cards against humanity and him introducing me to a new drink that i’m obsessed with now. He was so easy to talk to and made me feel so welcomed into their home. Sending all my love to his family and friends. 

I went to college with Nick and we were in Speak That together. Once, on one of our groups many late night trips to IHOP, Nick and I wound up competing to see who could eat their pancakes faster. I have never been so shocked in my life when he took a whole pancake, folded it in quarters, and ate it in ONE BITE. We sat giggling about it for a good ten minutes, totally derailing the pancake eating contest. It remains my favorite memory of him. 

Our favorite memory was October 31, 2021. We all spent the whole day together, church, breakfast, park with the kids, the fair, and dinner at his favorite restaurant; the perfect family day. 
It was always a blast to be around Nick , he always knew how to include everyone and make everyone feel comfortable.

Nick Alomar is one of the most kindest souls I had ever met. I was so honored to work along side with him in the Army. He kept all of us laughing and smiling no matter what type of day we were having. We miss you Salad Bar. 

Last I had a chance to talk with him he spent hours explaining his game's lore to me with a screaming kiddo in his lap... I've never heard a happier man in my life. Someday in heaven we'll continue that talk. Until then Nick, godspeed.  

One of my favorite memories was when we stayed up til 3am playing his game and just being there enjoying the company. He loved how much me and Colley were obsessed with his game.
