

Memorial services for Clifford Anthony Manuel, 53, of Temple will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. A reception will follow. Mr. Manuel was found in Lake Belton at McGregor Park on Feb 25th. He had been missing since Jan 31st.
Cliff was born Aug 10, 1957 in New Iberia LA, to Armstrong Manuel and Alberta Board Manuel. He was raised and educated in Galveston by his Aunt Josephine Board. He was a graduate of Ball High School in Galveston and attended Lon Morris College in Nacogdoches. He worked at a popular restaurant while living in Galveston and loved spending time at the beach.
In later years, Cliff built and flew his own model airplanes and was an active and avid member of the Temple Aero Modelers Club. He was employed in the Press-room at the Temple Daily Telegram from November 1997 until his passing.
Cliff is survived by a minor daughter, one sister, Evelyn Fairchild of Seattle Washington, his aunt Josephine Board and cousin Emma Board of Galveston and his significant other for the past eight years, Alisa Whipkey of Temple. He will be remembered fondly for his happy-go-lucky, easy approach to life.
