Doris Redden Love

Doris Aline Love, age 94, of Holland, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Temple. She was born on July 23, 1928 in Hamilton County, Texas to Forrest W. Redden and Mary Alice Shipp Redden. Doris grew up in the Union Community and attended Union School and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1945. She worked briefly for Gulf States Telephone Company in Hamilton in 1945. She graduated from Kings Daughters Hospital Nursing School in 1948 as a Registered Nurse. Doris worked at McClosky Veterans Hospital and later worked for Kings Daughter Hospital as a Charge Nurse and later as a night supervisor. She retired in 1985. She married Travis F. Love in 1949 at the VA Chapel in Temple. They were blessed with four children, Donnie, John, Kathy and Ricky. She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis, parents Forrest and Mary Redden, brother Joe Redden, sisters, Mary Donelson and Evelyn Darling. Doris is survived by Children, Donnie Kinard and husband Larry, John Love, Kathy Ann Love and Ricky Lyn Love and wife Mary, sister, Mabel Kemp, brother in law, Thomas Glenn Darling and wife Kit, grandchildren, Glenn Kinard and wife Sandra, Samantha Love Sachsenmaier, Melissa Brown, Stephen Green and wife Collette, great-grandchildren, Gwyneth Arscott and husband Keala, Seth Sachsenmaier, Paige Garrett and husband Justin, Jordan Green, Logan Green, Savannah Green, Anthony Brown and great-great grandchild, Olive Garrett. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00pm at Bellwood Cemetery.
