This picture of you hangs in my office. You were the best brother ever. I think of you daily. I love you Greg.

I think about you and miss you every day my dear brother. Life is not the same without you around. 

Greg is my big brother. He has always been there for me. When we were young men, he advised me and he protected me.  As we grew older and started having children, he loved mine and I loved his. We often spoke about how extraordinarily awesome our kids and grandchildren are.  And through out our lives we laughed together all the time.  Greg was the best brother ever.  He left too soon and my heart is broken. 

Greg was a fine member of the Killeen Police Department. I was his Watch Commander. 
Greg, I am so sorry we were not able to keep in touch. I was so hopeful we could meet at one of The Killeen Police Department Old Guard Meetings. Alas that was just not to be. 
Rest In Peace Greg.

I have wonderful & fond memories of Greg.  I met him a very long time ago, before his marriage & his children.  He was the funniest guy I’d ever met.  We worked two jobs together over the years & at times gave me good & wise counsel when I was going through a tough time, but mostly he kept the humor alive & always kept me laughing. Laughter is the best medicine!  I loved working with him…a great mentor & hard worker. I watched as he started his family. His children & grands were the light of his life & I truly believe he’s left a great legacy.  I know you’re dancing with Jesus now, Greg,  & one day we will join you & the many believers who’ve gone before…

Oh, and happy 1st heavenly birthday to you. On earth you’d been 71 today. 

I met Greg some years ago when my son started dating his daughter Lillian. He was so kind when he made a call to me while I was at work at the station he made the best compliment one could ask for about their son. Over the years he  text many times me to see how I was doing and was being very genuine. You don't see much of that  any more but I will always remember him taking the time to reach out to me. Greg we will miss you. Till we meet again. Love Chet

and a gym owner-we crossed paths many times over the years
and was blessed to have been with him only a few weeks before 
he passed. 
He was an exemplary human being and I am glad to have known him and been his friend.

Kim and I were so blessed to have Greg and his family in our lives.  We were connected to him in ministry, business and most of all in friendship.  He was one of my mentors when starting off in ministry and we later worked together.  Kim taught a few of his children in school.  He will be deeply missed.

I worked with Greg several years. He taught me so much about life, work ethic, sales, you name it. He will be truly missed.

I have fond memories of Gregory when we were kids on Sandy Hook. We were buddies. My mother Jean and Gregory were buddies too. She really loved him. 

I did not  know Gregory very well as adults because of time and distance. But i can see  his was a life well lived. I am so very sorry he left so soon. 

When word spread that I had asked Greg's sister to marry me in 1999, Greg and George placed a call to me that I'll never forget--and that said a thousand words to me about the sort of family I was marrying into. There were threats--some specific, involving kneecaps, and some vague--but the meaning was clear:  I should not take lightly my responsibilities in marrying their treasured sister.  She was a "princess", they informed me, and I was to treat her just that way. The fact that Greg could deliver such messages with both humor and with Greek ferocity meant a great deal to me.  I never forgot, and I never stopped honoring him for loving Mary so fiercely.     

Praying for you all. Greg was one of the kindest men I’ve ever known. Anytime I saw him he would always have a kind and encouraging word for me along with the latest pictures of one of his kids or grandkids- he was so proud of all of you. He was a man who truly Lived RICH and exemplified the values of our company every day.
May he Rest In Peace.

In this life you embraced them with your tender love;
deliver them now from every evil and bid them eternal rest.
The old order has passed away: welcome them into paradise,

Greg was such a sweet soul. When I worked at Dead Fish Grill my middle some would occasionally sit with Greg and watch golf. Brantley immediately showed an interest  in golf so Greg made sure he got his first set of golf clubs. He was such an awesome man. I’m incredibly thankful to have had him in my life. 

I will never forget my brother Greg. Though we were no longer connected from marriage he was always my brother and I love him deeply. I will never forget his kindness to me and the impact he had on my walk with the Lord.  I want his family to know how deeply I love each one of them and how you will all be held in my prayers and heart.

Over the years I’ve been making Greg sushi he has always been an amazing and great individual and a man I could call a great friend we never got to actually go out and do anything together I’ve always been really busy but we had so many amazing conversation and time together at the bar we both love Scottish malt whiskey I will miss you my friend and ever shot I take from here on I will cheer to my friend forever I will love you I wish I could have seen and made you one more last dish it’s still very shocking I still can’t believe it last time we saw each other like little more than a month we had a great big hug thank for always believing in me and trusting me it really  Brighten my day especially when we talked it was inspiring and motivating and just always amazing thank you my friend you wore always amazing the world had lost a gem and a legendary man in my eyes but know god gets to enjoy your amazing company please save me a spot and I can’t wait to talk for hours again in the future

I remember going swimming, as a little kid, at the pool at his apartment off Bacon Ranch  and he taught me how to suction water out of my ear. This is a lil'sum I still use to this day and teach my son as well. My condolences to this man who was a great father, his sons, his daughters, grandkids, family and friends. We will miss you on this Earth. Rest in great peace. 


My brother Greg was a totally joyful child ... I can see him still laughing and teasing and loving life.  He was protective.  I remember he jumped on Vernon Ward who was four years older than he, because Vernon was teasing me.  Greg hung onto his leg  yelling, "you leave my sister alone."  He was fierce!   He also loved to tease me -- favorite trick was to put his finger on my arm when we were in the back seat of the car or trips, OR simply breathe loud ... all to get me riled up and Mom ultimately to yell, "you kids are going to make me a nervous wreck!"  He doubled over with laughter.  Greg lived with me in our early adult years for a while and we attended Central Texas college together.  I was definitely a morning person and chatted to Greg all the way to college each morning.  Finally, after weeks of this, he looked at me deadpan and said, very seriously, "please stop talking>"  I doubled over with laughter.  A moment that is very precious to me follows our mom's death.  She had a kitchen trivet with the words "Ferns Kitchen" on it.  Greg and I both wanted it and I ultimately insisted he take it as he was a much more devoted cook than me.  Two weeks later I received a package in the mail, with Fern's Kitchen lovingly wrapped inside with a note "love you sister... Greg"    
We have lived far apart from each other in our adult lives.  But have had many connections through visits, phone calls, and texts.  He always reached out with excitement or something to share about one of his children or grandchildren.  They were his greatest joy and pride.  He loved each one unconditionally.  His joy in them reminded me of his joy in life when he was a child himself.  I will miss him more than I can ever express in words.      

Greg was a man of God and a blessing to many. He truly cared for those around him and stood tall among men. He will be remembered with fondness.  My deepest sympathies to the Koloroutis family.  

Not many people have ever meet a Greg Koloroutis in their lifetime.  He always made you feel good about yourself, he was an encourager.  I remember talking cast iron dutch ovens with him, his was too big for the bread he loved so I gave him a smaller one, you'd a thought I bought him a new car..Sure gonna miss him....This world needs more Gregs..

A crazy memory. Road trip to Notre Dame (1981). Greg, Brenda, John Cruddas, Peter Beronio, Scott Hesner and myself.  An unforgettable journey.  Many,  many, many, hours in a van. If you were not driving, you were sleeping. Greg and John drove the most.
