Private services for Kenneth Lynn Drake, 59 of Troy, will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, January 22, 2011. He was born on March 19, 1951 in Belton to Steven and Edna Drake and passed away on January 12, 2011 in Temple. He was reared and educated in the Belton area where he graduated from Belton High School. He worked as a truck driver at E.R. Carpenter in Temple for 35 years. He was an outdoors man he loved fishing, race cars and water sports.
Survivors include a son Kenneth L. Drake, Jr., and three daughters Lisa Simmons, Christina Gregorie, and Jennifer Strawn, two brothers Sammy Davis and Norris Drake and a sister Mary Oliver. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
