Kenneth Allen Granot

Mr. Granot passed away Sunday morning in a hospital in Temple.

Kenneth was born August 27, 1921 in Denver, Colorado to Amil Louis and Mary Ella (Davis) Granot. He was a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines. He served in WWII as a 1st lieutenant of the US Army Corps of Engineers and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He has lived here since 1987 moving from Downers Grove, IL, where he lived from 1957 to 1987. He worked as a Petroleum Engineer for most of his life.

He married Marjorie Marie Watts on October 10, 1942 in Denver, Colorado. She preceded him in death in May 2005. Allen married Aida Noren August 30, 2009 in Temple, TX.

Mr. Granot was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Marjorie, and a brother, Charles Granot.

Survivors include his wife, Aida Granot of Temple; three daughters, Karol Ann Hoff of Globe, AZ, Karen Annette Poling of San Luis Obispo, CA, and Marjorie Bess Gold of Minneapolis, MN; a stepson, Paul Eric Noren of Round Rock; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Poling, Heather Matteson, Andrew Gold, Emily Gold, Sierra Hoff, Jill Souza, and 1 great grandchild, Zoe Matteson.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Salvation Army or to St. Francis Episcopal Church.
