Luisa Hernandez was always willing to help others. She would even try to help her roommate in the nursing home, Mrs. Davila who was in a wheelchair. She took her love and compassion for others everywhere she went and was an example of what a true Christian should be. She raised two wonderful children and served all whom she could. Her life spanned many generations, and she was a blessing to all who knew her.

The greatest among you will be your servant. Matthew 23:11

God's Word:..."Let your light shine before others that they will see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:16

My grandma was the best cook.Everything she made was with love & a one of a kind of cooking touch.. Spam & eggs are so simple  but always tasted like it was a 5 start meal. I remember 1 time she called me and Gina when she came over she lost like $10 in the front yard & if we find it we can keep it! $10 is alot being a kid so we searched for awhile after a few hrs.  she called back & said APRIL FOOLS!!  She cracked up so hard & it was pretty funny to see how happy she got on a good April fools joke she did on us. She loved that holiday & I loved my grandma, she will be missed dearly but I know she is with my grandpa & her family in Haven.Until we meet again  I know I have an angel looking down on me! Love you grandma

     My great-grandmother had a smile that was contagious and a presence filled with joy and playfulness. As I grew up and she got older I could see that her playfulness and joy continued to remain a part of her, she had a young soul that I admired as I got older. I remember sometimes she would take care of my brother and I , and in the mornings she would make the best scrambled eggs and chocolate milk, I can taste it just thinking about it. We would usually sit in front of the tv watching cartoons while we ate our breakfast. But I remember this one time it wasnt the usual morning breakfast because while we were watching tv we had called out for her and she didn't answer. So we started our search to find her, but she was no where to be found inside ... I had this fear of being left alone so I went into a panic when I realized she wasn't in the house. So I step outside and as I turn my head towards the back yard I see her little head peeking around the corner of the house. That's when I realize we were playing a game of hide and seek that I didn't know was going on! I look back at it now and it brings a smile to my face and makes me laugh. I have some really fun and good memories of being around her, she was a great godly woman that I will always remember and love.

      Rest In Peace grandma , I know that you're in Heaven.

Ya Que Te Vas, Y Te Vas...We remember she would get a kick out of singing that with us and laughing!When she could still speak she would say she worked at the nursing home and that she had just been visited by Chu, Nena, etc.All her siblings that had long passed away.She would see toddlers and think it was Michael or Gina. She knew it was Lex and Jose who came by to see her. She even said they were there daily-day & night.She loved to tease her roommate, Mrs.Davila, about El Vigoton.An imaginary handsome man with a mustache!They would both giggle when she said surely he was hiding under the bed.God allowed us to have alot of good days with her and some time to make lasting memories.Hasta luego, Mama...see you in Heaven...
