

Graveside services for Paul Maddox will be 11:00amTuesday October 23, 2012 at Bellwood memorial Park. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00pm Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple.
Paul Maddox was born in Gorman, Texas on March 31, 1925. He lived his first years in West Texas and graduated in 1943 from San Angelo High where he played football.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and became a pilot. After WWII, he returned to San Angelo and soon married Billy Jo "Jody" Sparkman.
Paul and Jody lived in Harlingen, San Antonio and Houston before moving to Temple, Texas in 1968. Paul owned and operated Maddox Exxon and later was a partner in M&M Tire and Auto until he retired in 1984.
Paul and Jody traveled in their motorhome, fished and played golf at Wildflower Country Club until Jody’s death in 2003. Paul continued golfing and fishing until January of 2012 when he became ill.
In 2006 he met his partner, Barbara Ward. During his illness he never gave up hope as he was cared for by his loving partner, Barbara.
He is survived by Barbara, and his children, Randall Maddox (wife Christina Maddox) and Ron Maddox, grandchildren: Tammy Wambaugh, Kristin Blundell and Justin O’Neil and 7 great grandchildren.
Paul is a long time member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Grace Presbyterian Church.
