Robert Lee Easterwood

Memorial services for Robert Lee Easterwood, 79, of Belton, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. He died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at a residential care home in Pflugerville. Inurnment will be at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco at a later date. The family will receive friends for a time at visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home and invite friends to please join them for lunch during this time.

Robert was born November 23, 1930 in Marlin, TX to Robert Benjamin Easterwood and Venia Jo Bailey Easterwood. He attended high school in Skidmore, TX. He married Edith Marie Lewis in Belton in 1956 and was employed as an electrician with the Corp of Engineers at Ft. Hood. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Belton VFW.

Mr. Easterwood is preceded in death by his wife Edith and by a sister, Dorothy Westerberry.

Survivors include two daughters; Sharon Diane Harris of DeRidder, LA and Sandra Kay George of Elgin, one brother, George Lee Easterwood of Temple, five grandchildren; Jill Farris, Keith Harris, Sarah Brown, Jessica Roper, and Shelley George and nine great-grandchildren; Karlee Farris, Kaylee Farris, Hunter Harris, Lauren Harris, Victoria Roper, Johnathan Brown, Cannon Farris, Shelby Brown, Jourdan Fruge, Brady Fruge, and Blake Fruge.
