

Steven Windell Sullivan, 46, of Temple, passed away from this life on Friday, May 30, 2014. Steven was born on July 27, 1967, in Houston, Texas, to J. Windell and Martha Sullivan. Steven graduated from high school in Florence in 1985, and spent the majority of his life as a Bell County resident.
Steven graduated with an A.A. from Central Texas College in Killeen in 1987. He worked for KNCT radio and television from 1987-1996. During that time he also worked at numerous local radio stations as a disc jockey and engineer, including KTEM, KPLE, and KTON. In 1996 he began working as an engineer for AT&T Wireless Telecommunications. He was a Performance Engineer with AT&T up to the time of his death.
Steven married Melinda Lane on August 13, 1988. They lived in Nolanville, Lakeway, and Killeen. In 1998, they bought a small farm north of Temple, where the family still lives today, busy with gardening, livestock, and homeschooling.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Melinda Lane Sullivan, of Temple; his children Miriam, Rebekah, Joshua, Caleb, Hannah, and Naomi; his parents Windell and Martha Sullivan of Killeen; a brother Mike Sullivan and his wife Andrea of Poyen, Arkansas, and a sister Kimberly Hallmark and her husband Jamie of Killeen; and several nephews and nieces.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bowen and Fae Loftin of Houston, Texas, and Dewey and Arlone Sullivan of Mize, Mississippi.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, at 2:00pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with a Graveside Observance afterwards at Hillcrest Cemetery in Downtown Temple. A family visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Funeral Home.
