

Alice M. Young, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, in Springhill Village surrounded by her family. Alice was born on April 11, 1927, in Helena, Mont., to Earl Abbey and Bertha Moe Abey.
Alice was retired from Terre Haute Regional Hospital as a baker. Alice was a member of United Methodist Temple in Terre Haute, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, bingo, cooking and especially baking.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Young, who died in January of 1999; and a grandson, Chris Miller in 2014. She is survived by three daughters, Marsha McCloud, Brenda Miller and April Christle and her husband Marc, all of Terre Haute. She also is survived by a brother, Robert Abbey and his wife Lori of Buckley, Wash.; three sisters, Judy Hazelbaker and her husband Frank of Missoula, Mont., Lois Hege and her husband Don of Missoula, and Ruby Galland of Whittier, Calif.; five grandchildren, Richard McCloud and his wife Brandy, Brian Miller, Melissa Coad, Brandi Cottrell and her husband Troy and Joshua Thompson and his long-time companion Becky; great-grandchildren, Zachary McCloud, Jayson Cottrell, Jason Cottrell, Alexa McCloud, Jarrett Cottrell, Carson Thompson, Javyn Cottrell and Jayda Cottrell; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services are Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th St., Terre Haute. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Terry Jeffers will be officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at:
