

Anita was born in May of 1936 to Seibert and Anna Lawson in Vermillion County, Indiana. She went on to attend and graduate from Fayette High School in 1954, after which she continued on to obtain a Business Degree.
In 1960 she married the love of her life Melvin Ray Lawson and they had two daughters. Both Anita and Ray were members of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Universal, Indiana for 30 years.
Anita Worked as the head cook at South Vermillion High School for more than 20 years. She later worked at Union Hospital in Clinton as the lead baker for another 20+ years before retiring in 2001.
Anita was a wonderful and devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and watching Golden Girls and anything on HGTV, but her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Malinda Zurcher, and grandchildren Ash Zurcher and Michael Ray Sontag.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Seibert and Anna; her loving husband of 63 years, Melvin Ray Lawson; and her daughter Crystal Marie Lawson.
Anita will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her.
