Audrie Poe Jr.

Audrie Poe, Jr., 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Union Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 13, 1938, in Brooksville, KY to Audrie W. and Audrey A. (Hamilton) Poe. He married Betty Jo Vest on August 28, 1966.

Audrie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Jo Poe of Terre Haute; son, Jason Poe and wife Cheyenne of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Albany and Aiden Poe; brother, Benjamin Poe and wife Connie of Henderson, NV; sister, Leigh Myers of Jacksonville, FL; nephews, Troy Poe and Nikko Myers; niece, Maitlin Myers; and great-nephews, Myles and Dylan Poe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Stacey Rae Poe Arrowood; and a brother-in-law, Gary Myers.

Audrie was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School. He proudly served in the United States Army. For 33 years, Audrie worked in the purchasing department at Terre Haute Med Lab. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Audrie was an avid golfer and played whenever and wherever he could. He will be truly missed.

Audrie will be laid to rest with military honors by American Legion Post 104 in Roselawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24 at Grace Baptist Church.
