 Obituario de Betty Lou Brussell
Betty Lou Goodman Brussell, 95, peacefully passed away, November 30th, at The Arbor in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was born June 2, 1924 in Linton, Indiana. She married Sylan E. "Bud" Brussell in 1943 and they were residents of Terre Haute, Indiana, where they raised both daughters, Mary Lee Blackwell (Mike) of Madison, Mississippi, and Gail Ann Kennedy of Yelm, Washington. Betty attended Greenup, Illinois Elementary and High Schools. She enjoyed volunteering for multiple organizations, sewing, playing the piano and the hand bells. She was a long time member of The United Methodist Temple. Betty moved to Ridgeland, Mississippi, to be near her family in 2009 where she enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty is survived by both of her daughters, her grandchildren, Sarah McKeough (Pat), Jennie Vandevere (Bert), and Emily Barnette (Ben). She was also well-loved by her six great grandchildren: Hayden McKeough, Mary Grace McKeough, Hattie Tillman, John Parker Tillman, Lilla Vandevere and Wells Vandevere. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud Brussell. The family would like to express our thanks for her wonderful caregivers at The Rose Garden, The Arbor and the employees of Homecare Hospice. If you so desire, memorials may be made to: The Alzheimers Association, The American Cancer Society, or Homecare Hospice of Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Saturday, December 7th from 10:30 a.m. until noon with a family graveside service to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
