

She was born on May 3, 1951, to Charles Franklin and Evelyn Ester DeVoto.
Betty is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne McClintock, of Montezuma; daughter, Patty McClintock, of Terre Haute; daughter, Linda Landes and husband Tim, of Terre Haute; son, Jim McClintock and wife Jonella, of Rosedale; son, Charlie Kaho and companion Rebecca of Princeton; two sisters, Barbara Phillips and Ruby DeVoto; two brothers, George DeVoto and Joe DeVoto; sixteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren who she loved all dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Martha Cottrell of Terre Haute; a nephew, Richard “Junior” Ausman and nephew Clint Phillips.
Betty retired from J.I. Case and then Area 7. She spent some wonderful years in Florida with her Terre Haute “snowbird” family, where she enjoyed going to the beach and thrifting. She loved fishing, road trips, vacationing to various places, creating rugs and things on her loom and baking cobblers, strudels and noodles for holiday dinners.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home in Terre Haute, with services immediately following with Pastor Keith McIntyre officiating. She will be laid to rest at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
