Blake loved to spend time with his family, mushroom hunt, fish, and go hunting. He retired from the Vigo County School Corporation after 30 years of service. Blake was also a Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his three children, Elaine Ball, Vicki Weir and her husband Jim, and Blake Ball Jr, four grandchildren J.J.Hilderbrand, Jimmy Dean Weir, Jessica Weir and Ashley Weir. He also has four greatgrandchildren, Trenton Hilderbrand, Aria Hilderbrand, Celest Smith and Brayden Alan Shrock.
Blake was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Ethel Ball, and one brother Carl Ball.
Services will be Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with a visitation Thursday from 11-1PM at Mattox-Wood. Burial to follow at Clear Run Cemetery at Bridgeton, IN. Officiating will be Rev. Bill Herb.
