

He had been employed at Modern Album and retired from General Houseware, and was a member of the United Steel Workers.
Toby was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife of 21 years, Ann Fields; and great granddaughter, Delanie Hayes; three sisters and four brothers.
Toby was the baby of 11 children.
Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Fields; his children, Teresa Bailey, Penny Leonard and husband John, Laura Hayes,Chuck Fields and Judy, David Fields and wife Terri , Amber Feehan and husband Billy, and Stephen Fields and wife Elizabeth; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Alan Fields, Harold Fields, and Rex Fields.
Toby was an avid Chicago Bears Fan, and enjoyed Bowling, playing Horseshoes, and Car Races. He had served as President of the 16th and Chase Little League Baseball, and had coached several teams.
He volunteered at Saturday Morning Youth Bowling at Vigo Bowl, and at Special Olympics where he participated in coaching the Horseshoe events.
Memorials in Toby's name may be directed to The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, Terre Haute Humane Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
