Dale Eugene Mount

Dale Eugene “Genie” Mount, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 8, 1948, in Terre Haute to Lorin Dale and Sharon Arlene (Smith) Mount.

Genie is survived by his siblings: Linda Lindley, Harry Mount (Debra), Dennis Mount (Debra Moscardelli), and Dottie Mount, all of Terre Haute; nieces, Stephanie Lindley of Carmel and Charlene Smith (Daniel) of West Terre Haute; nephew, Jay Lindley of Terre Haute; aunts, Margie Odom (Gary) of Arlington, TX, and Donna Pearson (Kenny) of West Terre Haute; uncle, Sam Smith (Pat) of Salt Lake City, UT, and many cousins, great-nieces, and two great-great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Robert Mount.

Genie loved his family. He looked forward to everyone getting together for birthdays and holidays, especially Christmas. He always had one request, orange cake with orange icing. Genie loved going on car rides and vacations. An avid Cubs fan, he enjoyed going on bus trips to watch the games in St. Louis with his family. He attended DSI for over 40 years where he made many friends. Genie enjoyed sitting on the porch swing, watching the people and traffic go by and listening to his records. He was a sweet soul and the joy of his family. He will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Lilly officiating.
