Delores was born to Steve and Jeanne Michki in 1937 and would go on to marry George Petit Sr. Delores and George were married for 68 years and had two wonderful children.
Delores was an avid tennis player and loved to give back to the community through charity work through the various organizations she was a part of.
Delores was a two time state president of Beta Sigma Phi, a member of Elks, Terre Haute Country Club, Terre Haute Women’s Club, and Women’s Dept. Club.
Delores is survived by her husband George Petit Sr.; children George Petit Jr. and wife Marla, and daughter Jacqueline Collins and husband Bob; brother Robert Michke; and grandchildren Shanna and Braxton Collins, and Brooke and Keegan Petit.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents Steve and Jeanne Michke.
