

Dolores Jane Champion, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at her son’s home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 29, 1938, in Terre Haute to Thomas and Alice B. (Duchane) Siddon.
Dolores is survived by her husband, James M. Champion; her daughter, Kim McBride; her sons, Larry Northrop and wife Susan and Tom Northrop and wife Christine; and grandchildren, Kendell and Trent Northrop, Travis Guy, and Kira Northrop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George Siddon; and grandchildren, Amber and Brandon Guy.
Dolores owned and operated Stephens Upholstery in West Terre Haute for many years. She also worked at Terre Haute Stamping Mill and Quaker Maid. Dolores stayed at home and raised her three children when they were young; she was a wonderful mother. An excellent cook, her love was the secret ingredient in every dish she prepared. Dolores also loved to sew and dance. Her winters were spent in Deerfield Beach, Florida with her husband, Jim. Dolores loved all animals, especially hummingbirds and butterflies, and the color pink. She will be deeply missed by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 6 at the Sycamore Club, 200 Heritage Drive, Terre Haute. A private graveside service for close family will be held in Roselawn Memorial Park. Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
