Dorothy L. Bauer

Dorothy L. (Haymaker) Bauer, age 86, of Terre Haute, formally of Seelyville, died unexpectedly on November 20, 2020. Dorothy was born on August 22, 1934, to Olen G. Haymaker and Hazel V. (Ault) Haymaker. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, William H. “Bill” Bauer, whom she married on August 1, 1954, her children, Michael W. Bauer of Riley, Karl “Eric” Bauer (Krista) of Florence, Kentucky, and Katrina Watson (Jon) of Brazil. Dorothy is also survived by her sisters, Mary Anne (Jim-deceased) Elmquist of Hibbing, Minnesota, and Laura M. Hayworth (Byron) of Terre Haute, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Dorothy was proceeded in death by her parents, brother George E. Haymaker, son Gary Bauer, and her “Special Aunt” Ernestine Whitesell. A private service was conducted November 23, 2020, at Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A remembrance donation may be made to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or your favorite charity. Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
