

Evelyn Rose Weust Tosser, 84 of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, in Springhill Village Convalescent Center. She was born in Terre Haute on Aug. 21, 1930, to John Henry Weust and Dorothy Marie Ennen Weust. She was a nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital, having retired after 30 years of service.
Even though Evelyn worked full-time, she still managed to raise five children. Evelyn married Lloyd Omer Tosser Jr. on Feb. 3, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2009.
She is survived by five children, Lloyd Tosser III, Monte Tosser, Craig Tosser, Nancy Hall, and Linda McClure (husband Russell); five grandchildren, Lloyd O. Tosser IV, Brandon T. Hall, Sarah M. Hall, Katie R. McClure, and Ethan W. Tosser; sister, Lorraine Roberts (husband Walter); sister-in-law, Edie Weust; and her life-long best friend, Rosalie Woodard. She was preceded in death by her brother, John H. Weust.
Evelyn was a member of Beta Sigma Pi sorority, and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts.
Funeral services will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Thursday. The family of Evelyn would like to thank the entire staff at Springhill Village for the excellent care given to their mother during the last five years.
