Gloria is survived by her daughters, Susan Moore of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Cathy Spetter (Fay) of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Kile Moore, Chad Moore, Aaron Moore, Ryan Moore, Jennifer Fulkerson, Diedra Burns, Audra Carrel, John Bush, Autumn Pies, and Luke Spetter; son-in-law, Terry Bush; nieces, Patty Armstrong, Gloria McCallister, Jill McGill (Bill), Kim O’Kelly (Rod); nephew, Skip Armstrong; eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Watson; daughter, Linda Ann Bush; an infant daughter; son-in-law, Dan Moore; siblings, Phillip Armstrong, Catherine Lowe, and Granville Armstrong; and a nephew, Jerry Armstrong.
Gloria attended Gerstmeyer Tech High School. She began working at McCrorey’s Dime Store. She worked as a Beauty Operator for many years and was also a secretary/bookkeeper at Goodman-Wolfe. Blessed with a creative nature, Gloria could make anything she set her mind to. She was an excellent seamstress and stained glass artist. She loved to bake and cook. Gloria also had a green thumb which made her an excellent gardener. She canned her homegrown vegetables every year. Gloria loved animals of all types. She was a breast cancer survivor. Most of all, Gloria was the best mother and grandmother in the world. She will be truly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 15 in Roselawn Memorial Park. Roselawn Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
