Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Marie Pounds passed away on October 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born April 18, 1952, to Jack and Nellie Hirth. She married the love of her life Dennis Pounds on May 12, 2001. Together, they shared many vacations in the mountains and Florida.
Jackie loved big and accepted everyone as family. Her home was always a place of safety, refuge and unconditional love. She enjoyed gathering family and friends for dinners, birthdays and cookouts. And it was a rule that you sang and blew out birthday candles AT LEAST 2 times. She loved family fishing contests where there were prizes for first caught, biggest caught, most caught and last caught-she usually won all categories.
Jackie always had a servant’s heart and that came through in her work. She was a registered nurse for more than 20 years, spending most of that time as an Administrative House Supervisor at Union Hospital. After retiring from Union, she developed Happiness Bag’s Wellness Program and served as their Wellness Coordinator for many years. Jackie also spent time serving on Happiness Bag’s Board of Directors for several years. Her devotion to Happiness Bag spanned more than 40 years.
Jackie is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Schultz, father, mother, and her sister Jeanne Hirth Scott.
Jackie is survived by the love of her life, Dennis Pounds and children Brad Pounds (Heather), Jan Feuquay, Ellie Rippy (Ryan), Mindy Schultz (Jodi Moan), Katie Sweppy (Jeff), and Jamie Richards (Travis). Siblings Joyce Raley (Dave) Joe Hirth (Tracy) and brother-in law Mike Pounds (Julia). Grandchildren Garyad Passmore (Hanna), Glenn Forsman, John Feuquay, Grayson Richards and Amelia Richards.
