James D. Albin

James Dewitt Albin, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on December 13th. He was born on December 3, 1935 to James C. Albin and Mary H. Bitts Albin in Terre Haute. He graduated from Wiley High School. A Produce Manager, James was employed and retired from Standard Grocery. He married Nancy B. Sykes 52 years ago on October 28, 1962.

When he was younger, his hobbies included apartment renovations with his father and horse showing competitions with his children. His passion was the Masonic Lodge. James was a Master Mason of Euclid Masonic Lodge No. 573. He was dedicated to the Lodge and cared for it for many years.

James is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Steven R. (Donna) Albin of Clark, NJ; grandchildren, Nick, Antonio, Donald, Alyssa, Jessica, Gianna, and Zachary; great-grandchild, Kayla; brother, Jerry V. Albin; and mother-in-law, Violet Sykes, plus many cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary; and daughter, Brenda J. Albin.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Masonic services at 7:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, December 18th at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Rockhill officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
