James Allen Harbaugh

James A. Harbaugh, of Terre Haute, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Terre Haute. He was born in Lewis, Indiana on February 11, 1938 to Howard and Josephine Harbaugh. He graduated from Blackhawk High School in 1956. He was a member of the American Legion #104, Marine Corp League, VFW, 40&8, Freemasons, Order of the Eastern Star, Murdock Racing Club, and was an United States Army veteran. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Novelis (formerly Alcan, Anaconda). He enjoyed watching football, racing, and spending time with his family and friends.

His wife, Helen Gatti Harbaugh, preceded him in death on December 2, 2003. He is also preceded by his parents and sister, Barbara Harbaugh.

James is survived by daughter, Jamie Harbaugh (Scott Figg); son Artie Harbaugh (Rachel Todd); special friend, Connie VanNatten; brother, Jerry Harbaugh (Jackie) of Arizona; as well as two nieces and a nephew.

A service held in James’s honor will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be prior from 10:00 am until time of service. Pastor Larry Lily will be officiating. James will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park.
