John Russell Archer

John Russell Archer, 62, of Terre Haute, graduated to Heaven on Friday, June 14, 2013, peacefully, with his niece Linnie holding his hand. He was born on September 20, 1950, in Terre Haute to Floyd “Doc” and Hester (Clark) Archer. John fought a valiant battle with cerebral palsy all his life. He is now free to walk, talk, and fellowship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John is survived by his brothers, Richard Archer and his wife Janice of Munford, TN, and William Archer and his wife Gina of Knoxville, TN; as well as a host of nieces and nephews who mourn his passing, especially Linnie Archer, who cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Bobby Gene Archer, Harold Leon Archer, and Floyd Guy Archer.

Visitation will be held from 11 until 1 on Thursday, June 20 at Thomas Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1:30 at the chapel in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
