John worked for many years as a janitor for Vigo County School Corporation, on the mowing crew at Spectrum, and also worked at Moggers. Most of all, John enjoyed and loved his family. He took great care of his mom until her passing. John enjoyed nature, from gardening to hiking. He rode his bicycle, sometimes 30 miles a day, usually to a park or animal sanctuary. On weekends, John could be found watching IU basketball or Colts football. He was always known for his upbeat attitude and big heart. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 31 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Visitation will be held an hour prior to mass. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.thomasfuneralhome.net
