

CLINTON — Joseph F. Wilkinson, 93, of Clinton, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at 1:15 p.m. at Vermillion Convalescent Center. Joe worked for years as a mechanic for Allis Chalmers, J.I. Case and Fredericks Equipment. He was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Terre Haute to Earl and Esther (Franklin) Wilkinson.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary F. (Larimer) Wilkinson; daughters, Lori A. Wilkinson of Clinton, and Terrie Wilkinson of Clinton; sons, Joseph A. Wilkinson and wife, Debbi, of Terre Haute, and Mark S. Wilkinson of Clinton; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of 12 children, and was also preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Kim Kabbany.
Joe was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, mowing grass and hunting mushrooms, and also watching sports and working in his garden.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, in DeBaun Funeral Home, Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave. Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Matt Larimer officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military honors provided by Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard. Online condolences may be left at:
