Joshua William Stewart-Anderson, 21, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1992, in Terre Haute. He came into Kenny and Rhonda (Stewart) Anderson’s lives in 1995 through the grace of his birth mother, Kim Stewart.
Joshua enjoyed life. He had a contagious sense of humor. He enjoyed dancing and entertaining his family and friends. Joshua always had a smile on his face and spread cheer wherever he went. He never knew a stranger. He liked to play with his dog, Dallas. He always enjoyed his dad’s cooking. Joshua was the light of his parent’s lives.
Joshua enjoyed playing sports. He participated in Special Olympics every year. He always brought home medals. His favorite sport was volleyball. Joshua spent his free time at Happiness Bag playing sports and visiting with friends.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Kenny and Rhonda Anderson of Terre Haute; uncles, J.R. Stewart of Texas, Mike Stewart of Terre Haute, Randy Price of Shepardsville, Jimbo Sarson of Terre Haute, Gary Anderson of Missouri, Todd Anderson of Terre Haute, and Rob Knudsen of Indianapolis; aunts, Misty Anderson of Terre Haute and Amber Anderson of Indianapolis; Kim Stewart of Terre Haute; many cousins and numerous friends from Happiness Bag and Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an aunt Jodi Stewart.
Visitation will be held from 11 until 1 on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ray Leach officiating. Joshua will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
