Julia Ellen Duerlinger

Ellen was born on July 29, 1934 in Calhoun, Illinois to Ralph Cummins and Lula (Byram) Cummins.

She is survived by her four children: David Thomas (Cheryl), Randy Duerlinger (Linda), Robin Exline (Mike), and Jeff Duerlinger (Lisa); 2 step-children: Rea Ann Jensen and Richard Duerlinger (Kris);18 grandchildren: Casey Chubb (Kevin), Ashley Music (Matt), Nikki Ellingsworth (Jeremiah), Joshua Duerlinger (Amber), Nick Young, Levi Young (Cassandra), Chelsea Grimes, Jake Exline (Joli), Michaela McCall (Luke), Joey Bovenschen, Chad Mankin (Joy), Chris Mankin (Shannon), Scott Jensen, Troy Jensen (Jeana), Ryan Jensen (Liza), Hollie Deland (John), Ryan Duerlinger, and Robbie Madill; and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin brother, Ralph "Bud" Cummins (Jean) and her baby sister, Catherine Lattanzi (Gary).

Ellen loved to dance, shop, cook, and play cards and Bingo. Most of all, she loved and cherished her family and friends, which was evident by her large collection of photographs.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge for 30 plus years. She was a proud Star Recorder and Senior Regent. Ellen retired from CBS as a quality control specialist. She was also employed at Meis in the payroll department.

Ellen is preceded in death by her mother and father; her loving husband Ronald Duerlinger; daughter Judy Mankin; step-daughter, Rhonda Duerlinger; along with several siblings.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 11am- 1pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Service will begin at 1pm with Rev. Paul Carey officiating. A Chapel Committal will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, where Ellen will be laid to rest next to her husband, Ron.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Moose Lodge Terre Haute Chapter located at 3708 Wabash Ave, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47803. A gathering will be held at The Moose Lodge after the services are complete.
