June Laverne Andrews

June L. Andrews, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Union Hospital. She was born on June 25, 1924, in Terre Haute, to Ernest and Bessie (Sellers) McDowell. June had been employed at Bemis Co. for many years. She enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales, especially looking for antiques.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James “Red” Andrews, son Dale Andrews, granddaughter, Kellyn Andrews, brothers, Cecil, James, and Lawrence McDowells, sister Marilyn “Teet” Stableton, and an infant sister Juanita Andrews.

She is survived by her children, James Andrews and wife Marcie of Brownsburg and Marilyn Hoffman of Terre Haute; grandchildren, R. J. Londo and companion Danielle Haraway, Kim Hancock and companion Rusty Miller, Leslie Hoffman and companion Steve Reyher, Jamie Carl (Casey), Amy Phillips (Nick), Chad Andrews, Jacob Andrews, Tara Roth (Glen), Bobby Allsup (Rae); eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one due in December, numerous nieces and nephews; extended family Tracy Elleman, Missi Gilbert, and Kim Brann.

We no longer hold her in our arms, but she will be forever held in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Janice Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
