

Kitty M. Tomlinson, 94, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, August 26 at Meadows Manor East. She was born on April 21, 1917 in Owensville, IN to Jesse and Eunice (Keneipp) Montgomery. She married Franz Tomlinson on June 27, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 2009. Kitty and Franz owned and operated Midwest Supply Electronics together. Kitty was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was an active member of the women’s group. She was also a member of Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed hand-quilting.
Kitty is survived by her children, Errol Tomlinson of Terre Haute, Kathleen Maxwell and husband Don of Terre Haute, and Tommy Tomlinson and wife Jerry of Colorado; grandchildren, Dr. Aimee Tomlinson of Georgia, Chris Maxwell and wife Lori of Avon, Tiffany Scamihorn and husband Trevor of Terre Haute, Brian Maxwell and wife Christi of Terre Haute, and Dr. Jill Phillips and husband Danny of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Shelbie, Natalie, and Maxwell Scamihorn, Cody, Wyatt, Chase, Talan, and Jade Maxwell; a brother, Charles Montgomery and wife Bunny of Owensville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 72 years, sisters, Spicy Johnson and Alice Garrett, and a brother Phillip Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, August 4 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A Daughters of the Nile service will take place at 10:30. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Wheaton officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made to www.roselawn funeralhome.net
