Throughout his youth worked with his family on Dixie Orchards.
Graduated from Oaktown High School in 1958. Went on to serve his country in
Both the United States Army and the United States Air Guard retiring with 37 years of service.
He work for ISU until retiring in 2005
He loved to watch Western movies and read Western books, often finding him at the park reading .
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank S. and Elvina M. (Gravey) Schutter.
Survived By his Children Steven S. and Douglas Schutter both of Brazil, IN. Annette L. Schutter of Knightsville, IN. and Dea M. Schutter of Brazil, IN. Brothers: Jack R. (Teresa) Schutter of Terre Haute, IN. John W. Schutter of Washington, IN. and a Sister: Marina M. Swick of Sullivan, IN. 5 Grandkids and 12 Great Grandkids.
A visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11am to 1pm with inurnment to follow.
