Lester Eugene Jackson Jr.

Lester Eugene Jackson, Jr., 71, of Rosedale, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015. He was born on May 25, 1943, in Indianapolis, to Lester E. and Anita Jackson, Sr. He married Carol D. Hyde on June 13, 1964.

Lester worked for 35 years at Wabash Fibre Box. He retired from St. Mary of the Woods College after 15 years working as a boiler operator. Lester enjoyed relaxing at home and visiting with his family and friends.

Lester is survived by his sons, Gary Jackson and wife Teresa of Staunton, and Jim Jackson and wife Susan of Rosedale; grandchildren, Canaan Jackson and wife Emily, Alexia Jackson, Josh Rogers and fiancée Ashley Rowe, and Sarah Lewis and husband Ray; great-grandchildren, Madison Boatman, Gabe Lewis, McKinzee Rogers, and one on the way; a brother, Larry Jackson of Indianapolis; a sister, Becky Murray of Georgia; a brother-in-law, Bob Hyde of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol D. Jackson; his parents; a grandson, Tyler Jackson; and a brother, Danny Jackson, and a sister, Anita Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
