

Lewis retired as a conductor from the Pennsylvania Railroad, Penn Central – Conrail after 41 years of service. He also served in the US Army during the Korean War. Lewis was involved in several community organizations; Masonic Lodge William Penn, 727 F&AM, Ancient& Accepted, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, Kerman Grotto, Kerman Revelers, Sword-of-Bunker Hill Highland # 100, Outdoor Recreation Club Inc., Eastern Star 528, Life member of VFW 972, NRA, Retired Railroad Men’s Association, and UTU 1399.
He is Survived by 2 sons Mark A. (Sherry) White of East Glen, Ricky W. (Patricia) White of Farmersburg; 4 granddaughters Shannon, Beth, Christina, and Kaylee; along with 3 great grand children.
Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann, daughter Dr. Cathy S. White, and a great grandson Reis W. Nunley.
A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9th at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday August 8th at the funeral home. The VFW Post 972 will be performing Military Honors.
