

Marvin E. Perkins, 83 of Clay City, went to meet his Lord at 4:37 PM on August 20th at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born April 13, 1931 in Saline City to Lester Perkins and Mary Sparks Perkins.
On September 5, 1950, he married Evelyn Allen, the love of his life. He attended Ashboro High School, was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Brazil Water Works. He enjoyed old Studebaker cars of which he had a 1966 at the present time. He and Evelyn enjoyed flea marketing until health failed.
Survivors include wife, Evelyn; son, Michael (Bonnie) Perkins of Cory; daughters, Judy (Wayne) Overstreet of TN, Alice Hasler (Kent Shoemaker) of TN, Penny Perkins of Brazil, and Marquetta Anderson of TN; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Gerald) Freeman of Poland; sister-in-law, Shirley Allen; nephews, Don Perkins, Doug and Tim Allen; and nieces Robin Lawson and Kelly Urton.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Dale Perkins; sister, Norma Perkins; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Perkins; and brother-in-law, Paul L. Allen.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 25th at 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., Terre Haute with visitation prior to the service beginning at Noon.
