Mary Margaret Fox

Mary M. Fox, of Terre Haute, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday 2016 at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her six children, and many extended family. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to William and Margaret. She was a passionate member in her community not only as a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene or the Eastern Star, but also as a Girl Scout Leader. More than anything, Mary enjoyed spending time with her beloved and growing family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; grandson, Matthew Fox; daughter-in-law, Cindy Fox; and ten siblings.

Mary is survived by her children, Shirley (Don) Chisler, William “Bill” Fox Jr., George David (Maribeth) Fox, Cynthia Fox, Karen (Tracy) Wheeler, and Sandra (Brian Clark) Mahoney; sisters, Doris (Norman) Hammond and Helen (Gordon) Clark; grandchildren, Kent (Mary Ann) Chisler, Beth (Greg) Pratt, Kimberly Corbin, Chris (Staci) Fox, William “Wil” (Priya) Fox; Jennifer (Paul) Weigle, Jeremy (Natalie) Fox, Jessica (TJ) Lovell, Angela Christine York-Stein, Melissa Anne Richards, Timothy Robert York, William Patrick (Sean) York, Samantha (Andrew) Hardesty, Amy (Devan) Vilbrant, Joseph (Abby) Wheeler, Ashley (Jeff) Mattox, Kory Mahoney, and Michael (Morgann) Mahoney; thirty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and an extremely large extended family.

A service will be held in Mary’s honor on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Mark Fleschner and Donna Hardesty officiating.
