Mary Ruth Barr Jones, 81, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at her home in Terre Haute, Indiana. Mary Ruth was born in Greencastle, Indiana on December 28, 1943. She was the daughter of David and Mary (Robertson) Barr.
She previously worked at DePauw and Lone Star. While in Greencastle she was a member of the First Baptist Church. Upon moving to Terre Haute, she was employed at Hamilton Center until her retirement.
Mary Ruth is survived by her sons, Troy (Kim) and Tim (Melissa) and three grandchildren, Taylor, Wyatt and Logan. Also surviving are one sister, Anita Barr McEnulty and a sister-in-law, Janet Barr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Curtis; brothers Ed Barr and Kenny Barr and a sister-in-law, Janet Staley.
Services will be at 3:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
