Max was born August 15, 1928 in rural Clark County to Herman and Mary Bartlett. He attended Hutsonville High School before being drafted into the Army. Max served his country during the Korean War. Max enjoyed raising his cattle, farming, working for Lawrence Gravel, and spending time with his son. His warm smile over a cup of coffee and farm stories will be missed. Max is survived by his son John of Terre Haute, IN, his sister Anna Dee Wells of Annapolis, IL, nephew Greg (Sharon) Wells, niece Mary Sue Wells Randall, a great nephew and several great nieces, and many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and loving wife Rosalie.
Services celebrating Max's life will be at Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Visitation will be Thursday September 14, 2017 from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. (EST) with the funeral to follow promptly at 3:00 P.M.
