Melinda Kay Watson

Melinda Kay Watson Born February 22, 1958, in Union Hospital to James Norman Watson and Janet Carolyn (Hastings) Watson of Terre Haute. She passed away on March 7th, 2026, while surrounded by family and friends.

Melinda is survived by her sister Melody Jones, of Terre Haute; brothers Brian (Kristin) Watson of Terre Haute and Robert Steele of Huntsville, Alabama. Melinda also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews: Jennifer (John) Reed, Cynthia (Kevin) Bracken, Steven (Korri) Jones, Leslie Hensley, Lexie (Garrett) Wiseman, James and Robert Watson, Jedidiah (Desiree) Steele and Heather (Daniel) Steele Miller; twelve great nieces and nephews: Kirstie (Chris) Smith, Kiedis Hensley, Emma, Kaigin and Cavin Woodward, Carmen and Gabriel Jones, Kaya Freeman, Wrigleigh and Maelynn Wiseman, Tahlia and Elisheva Steele and Dailah Miller; three great-great nieces: Lydia, Valentine and Octavia Smith; and dear friends Kimberly Briggs, Sara Shepard, Shelly Lewis and numerous other close relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her Grandparents, Parents, Brothers James and Timothy Watson, Brother-in-law Rodney Jones, Sister Pamela Hensley and Sister-in-law Jae Steele.

Services for Melinda will be Friday, March 13, 2026, at Roselawn Funeral Home at 1:00pm. Visitation will take place from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
