

Mildred Moore, 97, of Brazil, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Springhill Village. She was born on April 8, 1919, in Vigo County to Grover and Myrtle (McAdams) McClintock. She married Charles Moore on December 1, 1934.
Mildred is survived by her son, Dave Moore; daughter-in-law, Beverly Sue Moore; favorite granddaughter, Peggy Allen; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; a sister Joan Gwin of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved little terrier, Benji.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles in 1999; a son, Dane Moore; three brothers, Jack, Donald, and Wayne McClintock; and a sister, Helen Riggs.
Mildred retired from CBS. In her spare time, she loved to work on quilts. She was talented at cross-stitching and embroidering. She enjoyed tending to her flowers. Mildred liked to read. She also doted on Benji.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 18, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery.
