Norma Jean Edwards

Norma Jean Edwards, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home, surrounded by her children, on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was born on May 22, 1927, in Terre Haute to William and Garnet (Archer) Feuquay. She married Richard Edwards on September 28, 1946, and together they raised three children. Norma was a 1945 graduate of Otter Creek High School. She worked for several years as a cook at Terre Town Elementary School. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and family gatherings. Norma loved caring for other people until her health declined. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loved by all.

Norma is survived by her children: Donna Thompson and her husband Thirl, Joan Kleptz and her husband Patrick, and Richard Edwards and his special friend Dala Graham, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren: Sean Strange, Jason Strange and wife Heather, Kevin Kleptz and wife Jenifer, Brian Kleptz and wife Beth, Kyle Kleptz and fiancée Amber Copas, Richard J. Edwards, Ashley Edwards and fiancé John Pressley, all of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren: Tanner Smith of Fishers, Brayden Strange, Zorah Strange, Chase Strange, Broc Strange, Connor Kleptz, Kylee Kleptz, and Maverick Kleptz, all of Terre Haute; sisters Blanche Durham and husband Don of Terre Haute and Jan Feuquay of Indianapolis; an aunt Martha Walker of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law Ive Edwards and wife Wilma; a lifelong friend, Kay Templeton of Terre Haute; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Joan Guess and husband Gerald, brothers Russell Feuquay and wife Jessie, Jim Feuquay and wife Helen, and a nephew Russell Wayne Feuquay.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 7 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 with visitation an hour prior at the funeral home with Pastor Rich Winson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
